Portsmouth City Council has been granted funding from the government's bus service improvement plan scheme to make public transport faster and more convenient in the city. As part of this work Walton Road has been identified as an area that could benefit from improvements, that would ease congestion on the roads and improve the reliability of buses in the city.
We have been working on possible designs for bus lane improvements in this area and have developed a couple of options that we would like you to consider.
Once we have gathered results from our survey, we will analyse the findings, and make recommendations to the Cabinet Member for Transport at the next decision meeting. A decision will then be made on whether to make changes in this area, that includes the survey results, traffic modelling and other data we collect.
